Pastor Rodney Osborne, Jr., M.Div.

Pastor Rodney was born in Columbus, OH. When he was just 11 years old, he preached his very first sermon and was baptized on the same day. However, it was not until his junior year of undergraduate studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) that he began to understand what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus. During that time, he recommitted his life to Jesus, and shortly afterward, began to sense a calling to full-time ministry. Upon graduating from RIT in 2013, Pastor Rodney enrolled at Andrews University (AU) in Berrien Springs, MI, to prepare for ministry.

Not long after completing his Master of Divinity degree at AU, in May 2018, Pastor Rodney began his first pastoral assignment as the district pastor of the Bourbon, Rolla, and Sullivan SDA Churches in the Iowa-Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. In May 2020, he became the pastor of the Ankeny and Nevada SDA Churches in central Iowa. After taking some time away from pastoral ministry to work with a community action organization in central Iowa focused on reducing the barriers and burdens that families in poverty experience by increasing access to essential needs, Pastor Rodney was installed as the district pastor of the Charlottesville and Grottoes SDA Churches on March 26, 2022.

Pastor Rodney is married to Monique, a doctoral student and registered nurse, who works at the University of Virginia. Together, they have a two-year-old daughter named Madison, who brings much joy into their lives. In his spare time, Pastor Rodney enjoys traveling to new places, playing basketball, reading, and playing chess.
